Published / by TheHI

There might not be a more exciting form of scientific research being done in the world than what is going on in the field of biotechnology. Biotechnology has the ability to completely change the way that we live our lives. From improving our day-to-day living to improving our end-of-life care, biotechnology can dramatically alter everything about us if given enough support financially and time to put the work in. Jason Hope, a futurist and entrepreneur from Arizona, was honored at the Breakthrough Philanthropy hosted by Peter Thiel in thanks for the $500,000 donation he wrote to a biotech firm known as the SENS Foundation. See more of Jason Hope on Medium.

The SENS Foundation is run by CEO Mike Kope with most of the research being put into the ultra-capable hands of Dr. Aubrey De Grey, a prominent anti-aging researcher from Europe. Dr. De Grey is one of the most charismatic anti-aging researchers in the world and his natural energy has proven to be vital time and again when it comes to bringing supporters on board. Jason Hope had been researching ways to put his money toward great opportunities when he came across Dr. De Grey and the SENS Foundation and knew that he had to meet him.

After Jason Hope an Dr. De Grey met and got to talking about the work that the SENS Foundation was doing, a massive donation was immediately put on the table. Hope has always been an ardent believer in biotechnology and he is one of the few voices out there willing to argue that aging doesn’t have to be the same as it has always been. In fact, Hope doesn’t believe that aging is vital to the human experience at all, provided that enough breakthroughs happen in the biotechnology field.

Jason Hope got his start in the world of technology when he founded his mobile communication business, Jawa. After finding success with Jawa, Hope would go on to invest in a variety of other businesses before launching his own unique grant program. Now, Hope is always on the lookout for exciting opportunities in the technological world.

Indeed every child deserves a promising future. At least they should all have hope for the same. Avi Weisfogel was motivated by this and decided to use his passion and expertise to help each child have hope in life. The practicing dentist in Old Bridge has partnered with Operation Smile to help fund them in fulfilling their mission. He has started the GoFundMe Campaign which is steered in raising a target of $2000. This money will help to benefit Operation Smile. Avi launched the campaign to help raise awareness and funds that will go into ensuring that children get free surgical procedures. Having the desire to help people and his background in the dentistry industry is what motivated Avi to start this initiative.

Operation Smile is an international charitable organization that was initially founded by Kathy and Billy Magee. The organization was founded in 1982 with the mission of helping children. It was initially to help kids in Philippines but over the years they have gone global making impacts in over eighty countries. The organization has managed to build a network globally of over thousands of volunteers. They conduct medical missions in different places around the world having conducted more than 220,000 surgical procedures that were free. The organization works with the local medics in the specified area and at times is required to import medical expertise or equipment to help achieve their mission. The services they offer are mainly on children but young adults also get to benefit from them. The medics help those who suffer from cleft lips, cleft palate or any other facial deformities.

Avi Weisfogel in partnership with Operation Smile has started the GoFundMe Campaign to help raise funds since the organization needs the support to help achieve its mission. Due to the fact that at times they are required to import equipment and medical personnel it becomes costly. Avi who is a practicing dentist and has passion for helping others through his campaign has helped raise awareness for this noble cause. The charity, other than just providing the free surgeries, also trains up the local professional which in turn helps to create a long-term sufficiency. Avi’s cause is noble and will ensure that children get great surgical care. Check out his educational YouTube video.
